2022 is almost at its end and so far, we’ve got some really awesome anime this year! And among them, there were a lot of enjoyable ecchi anime like The Eminence in Shadow, Immoral Guild, and Bastard! Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy, etc. And in this post, we’ll be looking at 10 amazing ecchi anime that are coming out in 2023!
1. Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou
Action, Comedy, Drama, Ecchi, Fantasy
Yukito’s parents are the leaders of a cult. After he gets sacrificed, he gets reincarnated into another world where religion doesn’t exist and porn books are akin to a child’s doodles. He finds that it’s also a world where your life and death are decided by the country. While obstructing his friend’s execution, both of them lose their lives. Just at that moment, the god of his religion comes to their world and revives them.
There’s a lot of ecchi stuff going on in this one, the manga was pretty good. Honestly, I’m kinda looking forward to this one.
2. Liar Liar
Ecchi, Psychological, Romance
At Academy Island, everything is settled through “Games” waged for a certain number of stars, with the strongest student being granted the ranking of Seven Stars. Hiroto, a transfer student, unexpectedly beats the strongest empress and becomes the pseudo-strongest in the school! A mind game of lies and bluffs begins!
3. Ayakashi Triangle
Action, Comedy, Ecchi, Romance, Supernatural
Matsuri Kazamaki and Suzu Kanade are childhood friends who share the ability to see ayakashi—youkai on the hunt for a life force to consume. However, their relationship deteriorates in high school. Suzu’s one-sided feelings grow, as does the gap in their ayakashi perspectives: Matsuri sees all ayakashi as a threat to his friend, whereas Suzu is an ayakashi medium—someone who exudes a significant amount of life force compared to the average human—and loves them all despite the risk.
When the two come across Shirogane, a talking white cat, they are unaware that it is a four-hundred-year-old ayakashi known as the “King of Ayakashi.” He is hell-bent on gaining even more power by devouring Suzu, but when Matsuri intervenes to save her by sealing Shirogane’s powers, the ayakashi uses a Jutsu to transform himself into a girl instead!
Matsuri, Suzu’s best friend, vows to protect her from further harm, but he must learn how to act like a girl until his grandfather, a famous wind Jutsu exorcist ninja, can undo the Jutsu. Meanwhile, now that Matsuri is no longer a boy, Suzu must sort out her romantic feelings for him. However, when Matsuri adopts the king as his pet, the future of the two friends appears to be in jeopardy.
4. Mushoku Tensei Season 2
Adventure, Drama, Ecchi, Fantasy
Fans were devastated (not really) by how Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 1 ended. Because Eris’ letter did not adequately express her true intentions, it ultimately broke Rudeus’ heart and drove him into a melancholy state. Aside from the protagonist’s journey, the duo and their chemistry are regarded as the anime’s best aspect, which is why fans have been eagerly anticipating season 2, including me.
Although an exact release date for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 2 has not been announced, the anime is expected to air in early 2023.
5. Chained Soldier
Action, Adventure, Drama, Ecchi, Fantasy, Romance, Harem
After graduating from high school, Yuki Wakura realizes that five years have passed since his sister went missing in “Mato’s Misfortune”. Across Japan, mysterious portals have been opened to a dimension called “Mato”, a demonic metropolis filled with cataclysmic monsters called “Shuki” that threaten people’s safety. However, new hope came when the discovery of the “mato fruit”, a mysterious fruit that grants supernatural powers, only to women. As a result, a new matriarchal government was established, establishing a female organization known as the Anti-Demon Corps, causing men to fall to the bottom of society.
Yuuki suddenly finds himself in Mato and he is unable to escape on his own. But, just as he is about to be slaughtered by the Shuuki, a girl dressed in a militia uniform appears and saves him. Kyouka Uzen, the chief of the Anti-Demon Corps’ Seventh Unit, is ambitious but undervalued by her peers due to her unusual power. In a life-or-death situation, Kyouka uses Yuuki to discover the true potential of her superpower: in order to defeat the Shuuki, he must become her slave.
6. My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog
Comedy, Ecchi, Romance, Supernatural
I have nothing much to say about this one because I think the title pretty much explains the whole plot. The story follows the protagonist who wakes up one day transformed as Pochita (yeah that’s actually what he’s called), a pet dog of his cool and beautiful classmate Karen Inukai.
7. Jitsu wa Ore, Saikyou Deshita?
Comedy, Ecchi, Fantasy, Romance
It’s one thing to be reincarnated into another world with the promise of a “cheat” power… but to be reborn as a baby and then abandoned because your royal parents believe you’re powerless?? That’s a completely different story! Now, the newly-born Reinhart—or Hart to his new friends—must navigate a perilous world…but luckily, he possesses magic that is literally off the charts!
The manga for this was pretty fun to read, the characters had a certain charm to them. The main character has your typical “overpowered but hiding his power/doesn’t wanna stand out” thing going on. I enjoyed reading it and I’m looking forward to the anime.
8. Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World Season 2
Action, Ecchi, Fantasy, Romance
Personally, I am not a big fan of this anime. I doubt if most people even know about it. I just wanted to let the ones who’ve watched it or are planning to watch it know, that it’s getting a second season in 2023.
9. The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses
Comedy, Ecchi, Romance
When Hayato’s grandmother died, he intended to sell her rundown café on the beach, unaware that it was also home to five young women who called themselves her family?! Hayato is persuaded to give running the cafe a try because they are desperate to keep it open…but even their best intentions may not be enough to make it work. And can he even work with these five tyrants? Whatever the case may be, he has his work cut out for him.
I’ve read the manga and the only thing I am gonna say is that this is a pretty generic harem anime, it’s similar to The Quintessential Quintuplets, A Couple of Cuckoos and every other harem anime with five girls.
10. The Legendary Hero is Dead
Action, Adventure, Comedy, Ecchi, Fantasy
Hell’s Gate, located far to the north of the world, was formerly used by the Demon Lord to invade the human realm. The legendary hero Shion Bladearts, wielder of Excalibur, and his loyal band of companions sealed the Gate and defeated the demonic threat.
Unfortunately, the seal was incomplete and had begun to deteriorate, allowing the demons to resume their assault. Touka Scott, a selfish and perverted farmer concerned about the safety of his village, digs pitfalls to defend against the demons. But don’t worry, Shion is on his way to reopen Hell’s Gate and save humanity!
Or at least he was, because the legendary hero is dead, having fallen into one of the pitfalls Touka dug. Fortunately, necromancer Anri Haynesworth specializes in dealing with the dead. While she can’t revive him, Anri can at least salvage their quest by forcing Touka’s soul into Shion’s rotting body and dragging him along to Hell’s Gate in Shion’s place. Touka’s childhood friend Yuna Yunis joins them, not wanting to be left behind. Together, they set out as what may be the most unsuitable party ever to try to save the world!
