Who doesn’t love an action-filled Martial Arts Manhwa? So, we’ve come up with a list of the 10 Best Martial Arts Manhwa that you definitely need to read, if you’re a fan of the genre!
10. Lightning Degree
Ryu-father Yeon’s died of a disease when he was only ten years old. He could carve wood into wonderfully intricate sculptures using the skill he learned from his father. After finishing his parents’ sculptures, Ryu-Yeon was approached by an elderly man who was impressed by his work. The old man saw potential in Ryu-Yeon and invited him to be his disciple. Ryu-Yeon accepted the old man’s offer because he had nowhere else to go and wanted to make the most of his life.
I’m gonna be honest here, I’m not really a big fan of the first 40 chapters but it has a great story, really funny (even though it doesn’t even have a comedy tag), good art, great side characters, and the mc isn’t overpowered from the start so that’s a plus too (at least for me)
9. One Hit Teacher, Master Baek
He learned the strongest martial arts only to be killed and be reincarnated as a rural village officer as Master Baek, The One Hit Teacher!
This is one of the newer martial arts manhwas, it only has 47 chapters when I’m writing this post. But, just reading the few available chapters, in my opinion, it’s one of the most underrated martial arts manhwas out there. It has a great mc, an amazing story, really good art, and lovable side characters. Highly recommend reading it.
8. Volcanic Age
Joo seo-cheon, a man who survives the age of war through sheer luck, and becomes the elder of the Hwasan faction, only to live a life full of regrets and doubts. As he lies on his death bed, waiting for the inevitable, he is returned to the past…
It has a nice plot, the art is not really my cup of tea but people seem to love it. Either way, it’s definitely worth a read.
7. The Return of the Crazy Demon
Yi Zaha. The crazy demon who is obsessed with martial arts. He fell off a cliff while fleeing after stealing the Demon Cult Leader’s heavenly pearl. He opened his eyes after believing that everything was over to discover that he had returned to his previous life as a waiter. And he’s getting beaten up for something he didn’t do. The insane demon who returned to his beginnings as a waiter! Will he go insane again, or will he drive his opponents insane?
6. Doctor’s Rebirth
The mc was in another country doing medical volunteer work when he was caught up in a civil war. While taking a bullet for a patient, he was killed by a rebel soldier. But when he awoke, he’d turned into a child?!? And in front of him was a wrecked carriage and a group of strangely dressed people who were all unconscious! “It’s exactly like Murim’s world.” As he rushes to administer first aid in an attempt to save even one person, he realizes that this is the world of [The Supreme Demon King], a Murim novel he enjoyed reading. 5. Murim Login
An era where hunters thrive on hunting Gates monsters. Jin Tae-Kyung is a low-ranking hunter who picks up a VR machine and unintentionally logs into a game set in the Martial Arts world. Tae-Kyung is able to escape this world after many ups and downs. The strength and abilities he gained in the Murim could be transferred to the real world. This allows him to continue working as a hunter… But, out of concern for his NPC friends, he decides to return to the world of Murim.
This one is bound to make you laugh + it has some decent action as well.
4. Legend Of The Northern Blade
The brave warriors of the Northern Heavenly Sect fought for decades to keep the world safe from the evil Silent Night. However, when the sect’s fourth-generation leader is accused of conspiring with the enemy, he is forced to disband the sect and commit suicide in order to protect his son, Moowon. With no family or allies left, Moowon lives a bleak existence under constant surveillance… until a surprise attack by the Silent Night allows him to flee to the mountains. Before the mysterious disappearance of a loved one brings him back to the mainland, the young warrior trains to master the fighting techniques of his forefathers. Follow Moowon on his journey to avenge his father’s death and bring down the villains who threaten to bring the world to its knees!
3. The Breaker
Chun-Woo, the new English teacher, is not your typical educator. Shioon, a victim of constant bullying, witnesses Chun-fighting Woo’s ability and begs him to become his disciple. Chun-Woo claims that Shioon can only be taught if he is truly determined, and Shioon must jump off a bridge into a deep river to prove it! Chun-Woo and his abilities, however, turn out to be more than meets the eye. Shioon makes a grand entrance into the hidden world of martial arts, where he will be taught by the best! This is one of the highest-rated manhwas on MyAnimeList and its fans have some great things to say about it.

Cheon Yeo-Woon, an orphan from the Demonic Cult, receives an unexpected visit from his descendant from the future, who inserts a nano machine into Cheon Yeo-body, Woon’s which drastically changes Cheon Yeo-life Woon’s after it is activated. The story of Cheon Yeo-journey Woon’s to become the best martial artist by avoiding the Demonic Cult has only just begun.
Nano Machine is one of the best martial arts manhwas out there, it has a great story, great mc with good character development, amazing fight scenes, and good side characters. Definitely worth a read!
1. Return of the Mount Hua Sect
The Great Mount Hua Sect’s 13th disciple. One of the Greatest Swordsmen of the Third Generation. Chungmyung, the Plum Blossom Sword Master.
He slept an eternal sleep on the peak of the Hundred Thousand Great Mountains after slicing the head of the peerless Heavenly Demon who threw the world into chaos. He reappears in the body of a child after jumping over a hundred years.
Return of the Mount Hua Sect is a perfect blend of action and comedy, with a side of adventure and suspense that builds with each arc. The main character is a rogue through and through, and everyone, from his friends to his elders to his enemies, love-hate him.
BONUS: Reaper of the Drifting Moon
He’s in the deepest part of the Jianghu. Keep your eyes wide open if you do not wish to get dragged into the abyss.
[From the author of Legend Of The Northern Blade.] Reaper of the Drifting Moon is one of the recently released manhwas. It has around 24 or so chapters as of now and it is really really popular among manhwa fans.
It has a great story and amazing art and it’s definitely worth checking out.
