Anime titles inform viewers about the content of the show. Titles are usually succinct and convey the themes of the stories. However, in the case of some anime, the titles are so ridiculous that it can be difficult to tell what the show is about. At times, the titles are so long that fans can figure out the entire plot just by reading the name.
Ridiculous anime titles can be extremely informative or extremely misleading. Fans may begin an anime series based on a specific title, only to be completely surprised by what the show is about. Similarly, fans may grow tired of anime whose titles reveal the entire plot. Nonetheless, these absurd anime titles never fail to make fans laugh. So here are 15 Anime With The Longest & Most Ridiculous Titles
Anime With The Longest & Most Ridiculous Titles
15. I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills
A young man named Al Wayne vows to max out all his farm-related skills and become the king of farmers. He finally accomplishes precisely that to live as the best farmer that ever was. 14. This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier Than Real Life!
Ten years ago, at the pinnacle of the VRMMO development industry, a game called “Kiwame Quest” burst onto the scene with unrivaled potential. This game pursued ultimate realism, ranging from humanlike NPCs to the perfect replication of all senses and physical abilities, boasting a massive total of 10 sexdecillion branches of possible story scenarios. However, it soon became clear that the game was overly realistic, and the popularity of VRMMOs in general began to decline.
Due to an accident a few years ago, Hiroshi Yuuki, a high school student, now immerses himself in full-dive RPGs as a form of escapism. After failing to obtain the most recent version of his favorite game, Hiroshi stumbles upon a game shop and meets its lovely clerk Reona Kisaragi, who persuades him to purchase a copy of Kiwame Quest so that they can play together.
Hiroshi is awestruck by the game’s realism the first time he plays it. His surprise, however, is short-lived as he causes a string of misfortunes, quickly realizing that the game is worse than his already stressful life. Despite his growing disdain for the game, Hiroshi finds himself logging on again and again. With no do-overs in his current predicament, Hiroshi only has one goal—clear the game!
13. I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense
Kaede Honjou reluctantly agrees to try New World Online, a popular VRMMO played by thousands of people across Japan, after an enthusiastic invitation from a friend. She begins her journey by naming her in-game character Maple. As a complete newcomer to such games, she devotes all of her stat points to vitality in order to avoid injury. Maple has an extremely high defense despite having no points in any other stat, but she can’t move quickly or hit hard.
This does not, however, end badly for her. Maple gains powerful skills such as Total Defense, Poison Immunity, and Devour as a result of her high defense. These abilities, combined with the incredibly powerful items she acquires, allow her to annihilate most enemies in a single blow. Maple claims third place in a server-wide event after only a few days of playing the game, establishing a reputation as a player who is both unkillable and absurdly powerful.
Despite her powerful character, Kaede has a lot to learn. She meets new friends and acquaintances as she progresses through the game, assisting her in completing new levels and events. Throughout her adventures, she may pick up some crazy skills that far exceed her expectations.
12. I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level
Slimes are usually the easiest monsters to kill in role-playing games, and as a result, they yield few experience points. But what if you live long enough to keep defeating them for the next 300 years?
Azusa Aizawa dies suddenly from severe exhaustion after many years as a corporate slave. She appears to be on her way to the afterlife when she meets a goddess who grants her immortality as well as a peaceful life in another world. Azusa spends her days tending to her farm, protecting the nearby village, and killing about 25 slimes per day—a routine that has been going on for at least three centuries.
This rather monotonous cycle, however, begins to change when Azusa discovers that she has reached level 99—the highest possible level—through slimes alone. Despite her best efforts to conceal this fact for fear of jeopardizing her slow life, rumors of her strength spread. Soon, people from all over the continent, including the dragon Laika and the elf Halkara, begin to appear at her door, some seeking a fight, others seeking her assistance. Azusa discovers that she can live a far better life with others than she could alone, after meeting friends and acquaintances who quickly become family.
11. A Romantic Comedy Where the Childhood Friend Absolutely Will Not Lose
Suehara Maru was childhood best friends with Kuroha Shida, one of Hozumino High School’s most popular girls. Kuroha is the ideal older sister type: cute, outgoing, and affectionate. The boys are constantly begging her to be with them. However, when she confesses to Suehara one day, he immediately rejects her; he simply cannot think of her in that way! He also has his sights set on his first love, Shirokusa Kachi, a school idol, and renowned author.
Suehara thinks he has a chance with Kachi after one fateful meeting, but he soon discovers that Kachi has a boyfriend! Suehara agonizes over what could have been now that his dreams have been shattered. That is until Kuroha approaches him with the idea: “let’s get vengeance.”
10. And You Thought There Is Never A Girl Online?
Hideki “Rusian” Nishimura is devastated when she flatly rejects him after mustering the courage to propose to a girl in an online game. To make matters worse, the girl reveals that she is, in fact, an older man. With his dreams dashed and his heart broken, Rusian makes an uncharacteristic decision in the midst of his rage: he will never trust another girl in an online game again.
Years later, Rusian is in a guild with three other players, one of whom has a female avatar called “Ako,” who is madly in love with Russian and wishes to marry him. Although he considers the possibility that she is a man, Rusian accepts her proposal, claiming that her gender is irrelevant as long as she is attractive in the game. However, after a discussion among guild members that resulted in all of them meeting offline, Rusian discovers that Ako and the other members are not only girls, but also his schoolmates.
9. My Mental Choices Are Completely Interfering With My School Romantic Comedy
Life as a high schooler should have been normal for Kanade Amakusa, and it would have been if he wasn’t cursed with the most ridiculous curse imaginable. “Absolute Choice,” a system imposed by a self-proclaimed god, randomly presents him with a mental selection of actions that he must carry out based on his choice. To make matters worse, it always seems to happen in the most public of places, and his options never seem to deviate from the rude and crude in nature.
As a result, the helpless boy struggles through each day, attempting to repair his already shattered reputation while desperately hoping to avoid the next spontaneous episode of Absolute Choice. To his chagrin, the boss is always one step ahead of him and proceeds to “choose” him into the lives of several girls at his school. Just when Kanade’s school life couldn’t get any worse, a decision he reluctantly makes on the way home brings a beautiful girl crashing down from the sky, along with the promise of more hysterically hellish choices.
8. WorldEnd: What do you do at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us?
Willem Kmetsch risks his life by leaving his loved ones behind to battle a mysterious monster, and despite his victory, he is rendered frozen in ice. During his icy slumber, terrifying creatures known as “Beasts” emerge on Earth’s surface and threaten humanity’s survival. Willem awakens 500 years later to discover that he is the sole survivor of his race as humanity is wiped out.
Willem, along with the other surviving races, seeks refuge on the floating islands in the sky, fearful of the Beasts below. He lives a lonely life and only works odd jobs to make ends meet. He is assigned to be a weapon storehouse caretaker one day. Willem accepts it without question but soon realizes that these weapons are actually a group of young Leprechauns. Despite their human-like appearance, they have no regard for their own lives, identifying themselves as mere weapons of war. Among them is Chtholly Nota Seniorious, who is willing to sacrifice herself in order to defeat the Beasts and restore peace.
Willem becomes something of a father figure for the young Leprechauns, watching over them fondly and supporting them in any way he can. He, who once fought so bravely on the frontlines, can now only hope that the ones being sent to battle return safely from the monsters that destroyed his kind.
7. Story in Which I Was Kidnapped by a Young Lady’s School to be a “Sample of the Common People”
Kimito Kagurazaka is a commoner with a fetish for men’s muscles—or so he tells himself if he wants to stay out of trouble at the elite all-girls school, Seikain Academy. Kimito is kidnapped by the school on the assumption that he prefers men, and he is forced to be their “commoner sample,” exposing the girls to both commoners and men so that the transition to the real world after school is not too abrupt. Kimito maintains the facade to protect his manhood after being threatened with castration if his sexual preferences do not match the school’s assumptions.
However, there are eccentric people around every corner who make Kimito’s life even more difficult. Aika Tenkuubashi, a social outcast who says whatever comes to mind; Hakua Shiodome, a young genius; Karen Jinryou, a samurai’s daughter obsessed with defeating Kimito; and Reiko Arisugawa, the perfect student who fantasizes about marrying Kimito, are among them. These four girls, along with the commoner himself, make up the Commoner Club, which tries to teach the girls more about life outside of school, while Kimito gradually learns about the strange girls surrounding him.
Given the bizarre premise of this show, a grammatically correct title is the last thing on anyone’s mind. It’s about a teen boy who is kidnapped by an all-girls school to help sheltered students prepare for life outside of school. He must pretend to be gay in order to avoid being literally castrated by the school administration.
6. Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren’t They?
Izayoi Sakamaki, Asuka Kudou, and You Kasukabe are extraordinary teenagers with psychic abilities who are fed up with their disproportionately mundane lives—until, unexpectedly, each of them receives a strange envelope containing an invitation to the mysterious Little Garden.
Kurousagi greets the trio after they are inexplicably dropped into a vast new world, explaining that they have been given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in special high-stakes games using their abilities. However, in order to participate, they must first join a community. When the group learns that Kurousagi’s community “No Names” has lost its official status and abundant land as a result of their defeat at the hands of a demon lord, they set out to help reclaim the dignity of their new home, eager to protect its residents and explore the excitement that Little Garden has to offer.
Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren’t They? is actually a relatively well-done isekai anime about a group of bored geniuses who are suddenly transported into a strange new land called Little Garden – but that title really doesn’t sound inspiring.
5. Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?
Life is never dull in the bustling city of Orario, especially for Bell Cranel, a naive young man who aspires to be the greatest adventurer in the land. His dreams become a little more real after a chance meeting with the lonely goddess Hestia. Bell embarks on a fantastic quest with her assistance, venturing deep within the city’s monster-filled catacombs known only as the “Dungeon,” where death lurks around every corner and a mysterious power moves amidst the shadows.
Surviving is a hard-won privilege, even on the surface. Indeed, nothing is ever certain in a world where gods and humans coexist, especially when they frequently clash. But one thing is certain: the dauntlessly optimistic protagonist of this herculean tale will face a slew of blunders, triumphs, and friendships.
The last thing a lighthearted harem anime needs is moral quandaries like “Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon?” What happens if the answer is yes? Isn’t that a disaster? Anyway, this show follows Bell Cranel on his various adventures, where he meets a lot of cute girls but doesn’t really pick them up for the most part.
4. Shimoneta: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn’t Exist
Japan has become a nation cleansed of all that is obscene and impure since the implementation of strict new morality laws. Authorities have taken extreme measures to ensure that society remains chaste by monitoring citizens with special devices worn around their necks.
Tanukichi Okuma, the son of an infamous terrorist who opposed the chastity laws, has just entered high school, offering his assistance to the student council in order to get close to president Anna Nishikinomiya, his childhood friend and crush. He has no idea that Ayame Kajou, the vice president, has a secret identity: Blue Snow, a masked criminal dedicated to disseminating lewd material among the sheltered public—and Tanukichi has piqued the girl’s interest due to his father’s notoriety.
Tanukichi is soon dragged into her SOX organization, where he is forced to spread obscene propaganda in order to help launch an attack against the government’s oppressive rule. Tanukichi will have to do the unthinkable when he realizes their primary target is the person he admires the most, with their school set as the first point of attack.
With a title like this, you’d expect the premise to be equally bizarre – and it certainly is. Shimoneta is set in a society where anything remotely obscene or lewd is illegal. To ensure chastity, the government even forces its citizens to wear special devices around their necks. However, a masked criminal known as Blue Snow attempts to liberate society by disseminating lewd content among the populace.
3. Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?
To most teenage gamers, forming a party with one’s mother in an online game seems not only unlikely but also unsettling.
Unfortunately, Masato Oosuki is in the same situation. He is thrown into the world of a fantasy MMORPG after completing a seemingly meaningless survey—and his mother Mamako has joined him! On top of that, Mamako reveals herself to be a formidable swordswoman, capable of two-hit multi-target attacks! Following some minor conflict between the two, they search for party members, meeting the merchant Porta and the sage Wise before embarking on their quest to complete the game.
Masato adores his mother, but he is also embarrassed by her. That’s because the two of them have been dragged into a virtual world where their gaming abilities are tested – and she’s a lot better at gaming than he is!
2. If I don’t successfully pick up 420 girls, I am going to die in a lot of different ways.
This “anime” is actually a two-minute promotional video for a light novel, despite having the best and worst title in anime history. Sorry for introducing you to the most inequitable thing ever, but there hasn’t been any news about this strange-sounding anime since 2013.
1. I Want You To Make a Disgusted Face and Show Me Your Underwear
A project where a number of women in different costumes show their panties while they make a disgusted face.
This OVA is exactly what it says on the tin – girls showing off their undergarments while looking thoroughly disgusted by the person who requested it. Subtley, what’s that?
That was it for the list, don’t ask why I decided to post this, and be sure to let us know what’s the longest and most ridiculous anime title that you know in the comments below!
