The 2.5 Dimensional Seduction anime series, which was previously announced, is set to premiere in 2024. A new key visual, PV trailer, main voice cast, and some production staff members were also revealed by the production team.
The main cast for 2.5 Dimensional Seduction includes Junya Enoki as Masamune Okumura, Kaori Maeda as Lilysa Amano, and Akari Kitou as Mikari Tachibana.
Meanwhile, the staff includes Hideki Okamoto (Konohana Kitan, Manaria Friends) is directing the series, with Takao Yoshioka (Horimiya: The Missing Pieces) as series screenwriter, Tomoyuki Shitaya (Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout) as character designer, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Dr. Stone: New World) as music composer. J.C.STAFF is producing the anime.
Seven Seas Entertainment releases the manga series in English and describes the synopsis as:
“I have no interest in real girls!” So claims Okumura, the president of the school’s manga club. He’s your typical otaku, obsessed with a sexy (fictional) 2D manga character known as Liliel. Then the new school year starts, and a (real!) 3D girl named Lilysa whose passion is cosplay joins the club. Lilysa convinces Okumura to become her photographer–and guess who her favorite manga character is? Not only that, but Lilysa is into modeling the fetishy stuff! The boundaries between 2D and 3D start to blur as this hot-blooded romantic comedy unfolds.
The rom com manga was first launched by Yuu Hashimoto on June 15, 2019, under Shueisha’s Jump Comics+ label. It is serialized in the online magazine Shonen Jump+ and has 17 tankoubon volumes as of May 2023. On September 4, 2023, the 18th volume will be released.
