Horimiya -piece-, a new Horimiya anime, has been announced with a July premiere date. A teaser caravan and visual have been made available.
Horimiya -piece- is essentially a companion piece to the anime series produced by Cloverworks in 2021. It will adapt popular vignettes from the manga that weren’t depicted in the previous show.
Masashi Ishihama (Persona 5: The Animation, Shinsekai yori) returns as director, Takao Yoshioka (Your Lie in April, WORKING!!) returns as series composer and scriptwriter, Haruko Iizuka (Ensemble Stars!, Inu Boku SS) returns as character designer, and Masaru Yokoyama (Your Lie in April, Chihayafuru) returns as music composer.
Haruka Tomatsu and Kouki Uchiyama reprise their roles as Kyokou Hori and Izumi Miyamura, respectively. Seiichirou Yamashita, Yurie Kozakai, Nobuhiko Okamoto, M.A.O., Reina Kondou, Daiki Yamashita, and others return as well.
Yen Press describes the manga as:
Kyouko Hori is known at school for being intelligent, attractive, and popular. Her classmate, the boring, gloomy Izumi Miyamura, on the other hand, is often portrayed as a “loser fanboy.” When a liberally pierced and tattooed (not to mention downright gorgeous) Miyamura unexpectedly appears on the doorstep of secretly plain-Jane homebody Hori, these two similarly dissimilar teenagers discover that every story…and person has multiple sides!
