Drama and feuds are nothing new in the online streaming world, but a recent incident involving popular streamers Adin Ross and Hasan has taken a dark turn. Adin Ross has come under fire for making a disturbing tweet about Hasan, urging him to “kill himself”. The incident sparked a Twitter backlash and raised concerns about the impact of online interactions on mental health.
Adin Ross and Hasan’s feud has been simmering for some time, but it has recently reached a boiling point. The uproar began when Adin, in his capacity as Kick-owner, allegedly “banned” Hasan from the platform. Hasan retaliated by referring to Adin as a “gremlin” and emphasizing that he had no intention of ever associating himself with Kick in the first place.
Update: Hasan has responded to Adin Ross banning him on Kick in a quote tweet that said “more streaming platforms means twitch can’t make decisions like the ones from yesterday. this will improve the space for streamers and watchers alike. for that reason i hope kick becomes successful, in spite of this little gremlin doing his very best to undermine that.” “having said that banning me from kick when i have no intention of going there is pretty funny, like i’m good man thanks.”
The tension between the two streamers escalated on Twitter, with Adin Ross taking jabs at Hasan’s beliefs and actions. Adin questioned why Hasan changed his profile photo for Pride Month but did not do the same for Black History Month. The back-and-forths continued, intensifying the animosity between them.
Adin’s tweet
The disturbing tweet was made on June 7. The tweet said, “Hasan pls kys I’ll do anything. Please,”.
That’s not all, Adin also tweeted “You’re a creep, you’re going to hell,”. “All for ppl themselves I love everyone but he pushes agendas on children… you’re forcing underraged transgender surgeries. Creep.”
Hasan has yet to respond to Adin Ross’s inflammatory remarks, but he is unlikely to remain silent on the subject.
Meanwhile, Adin faces being banned from Twitter for encouraging Hasan to commit suicide, as stated by the platform’s policies, which clearly state, “You may not promote or encourage suicide or self-harm.”
This incident sheds light on the need for accountability and empathy in the online streaming community. It is a reminder that behind the screens and usernames, there are real people with real emotions, and we must prioritize their well-being above all else.
