The KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! production team has revealed that the upcoming third season will be released in 2024. There’s also a new “ultra” teaser video featuring Aqua, Megumin, Darkness, and Kazuma.
Season three sees the return of many of the main voice actors, including Jun Fukushima as Kazuma, Sora Amamiya as Aqua, Rie Takahashi as Megumin, and Ai Kayano as Darkness.
The returning production team includes character designer Kouichi Kikuta and series screenwriter Makoto Uezu. Yuujirou Abe (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 1 and Season 2 episode director) will direct the third season, succeeding previous series director Kanasaki Takaomi, who is now the chief director.
The first two seasons of Konosuba aired in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Studio Deen produced both seasons, while J.C.STAFF produced the 2019 KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World Legend of Crimson anime film. Drive is the studio in charge of the animation for the upcoming third season.
Natsume Akatsuki wrote and Kurone Mishima illustrated the isekai comedy light novel series. From December 20, 2012, to October 21, 2013, the series ran as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou. The light novels were published by Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko and ran from October 1, 2013, to May 1, 2020, totaling 17 volumes and two short story anthologies.
The light novel series also spawned a 2014 manga adaptation by Masahito Watari, as well as several spin-off media, including the recently concluded KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, which serves as a prequel story centered on Megumin. There have also been several KonoSuba video games released.

After a traffic accident, Kazuma Sato’s disappointingly brief life was supposed to be over, but he wakes up to see a beautiful girl before him. She claims to be a goddess, Aqua, and asks if he would like to go to another world and bring only one thing with him. Kazuma decides to bring the goddess herself, and they are transported to a fantasy world filled with adventure, ruled by a demon king. Now Kazuma only wants to live in peace, but Aqua wants to solve many of this world’s problems, and the demon king will only turn a blind eye for so long…
