A teaser trailer and a second teaser visual have been released for the Unnamed Memory TV anime adaptation, which was recently delayed from 2023 to 2024.
The new visual features Oscar, played by Yoshiki Nakajima, and Tinasha, played by Atsumi Tanezaki.
Unnamed Memory is based on Kuji Furumiya’s fantasy light novel series Dengeki Bunko. Unnamed Memory, like Kancolle: Itsuka Ano Umi de anime, is directed by Kazuya Miura, with character designs by Chika Noumi and animation production by ENGI. The series composer is Deko Akao (My Stepmother’s Daughter Is My Ex), and the music composer is Akito Matsuda (Assault Lily: Bouquet).
Yen Press, which also licenses the manga adaptation, describes the light novels as:
“My wish as champion is for you to descend the tower and be my wife.”
Climbing a deadly tower, Oscar seeks the power of its master, the Witch of the Azure Moon. He hopes her incredible magic can break a curse that will kill any woman he takes for a wife. When the prince sees how beautiful Tinasha is, though, he has a better idea-since she’s surely strong enough to survive his curse, she should just marry him instead! Tinasha isn’t keen on the idea, but agrees to live with Oscar in the royal castle for a year while researching the spell placed on the prince. The witch’s pretty face hides several lifetimes of dark secrets, however-secrets that begin resurfacing…
Unnamed Memory first began serialization in 2012 as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou. The six-volume light novel series began in 2019 and will conclude in 2021. In 2022, the sequel Unnamed Memory: After the End began.
