Key quickly falls in love with idol singer Miho Utsuse and wonders if becoming a singer will allow her to make the necessary number of friends to become human. But Miho has a sinister secret: she is linked to Jinsaku Ajou, an old rival of Dr. Mima who is working on a new breakthrough in robotic weaponry. As Key strives to become a real girl, Ajou implements a perilous plan, and it soon becomes clear that there is much more to Key than meets the eye.

In the sequel to Shirow’s classic anime (Dominion Tank Police), Al, Leona, and their trusty steed, Bonaparte, continue to fight crime alongside the rest of the Tank Police in New Port City. However, a new threat emerges in the form of a series of terrorist attacks employing cutting-edge weaponry. Despite the fact that the Tank Police are outnumbered and outgunned, Al and Leona set out to find out who or what is behind these attacks.
