Bushiroad has released the first trailer for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Quest of Memories, the upcoming RPG based on the anime adaptation of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. While there is no gameplay footage, the video teases some of the game’s environments and reveals that it will depict both Dead End’s and Roxy, Elinalise, and Talhand’s adventures.
In addition to the previously announced PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam platforms, the trailer’s description reveals that the Lancarse-developed game will be available on PS5. There’s still no info regarding the release date for the game.
The anime is based on the isekai light novel series written by Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka, which is published under the MF Books label by KADOKAWA. The light novels, which concluded with 26 volumes in November 2022, spawned a manga adaptation and numerous spin-offs. Mushoku Tensei began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2012.
Mushoku Tensei, produced by Studio Bind, first aired from 2020 to 2021 in two parts. The second season, directed by Hiroki Hirano, the first season’s assistant director, premiered earlier this month. It will also have two split courses, the second of which will open in April 2024.
Seven Seas describes the series as:
Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!
