Sparkle is a 5-star Quantum character following the path of Harmony introduced in version 2.0. She is best suited as Support for Hyper-carry teams, particularly those with high Skill point demands. Sparkle’s kit increases crit damage and allies’ damage while also increasing Max Skill points by two. Here is an in-depth guide to building Sparkle in the best possible way.
Sparkle’s Character Overview
Sparkle is a member of the Masked Fools. Inscrutable and unscrupulous. A dangerous master of theatrics engrossed in playing roles. A woman of countless masks and able to wear endless faces. Wealth, status, power… None of this matters to Sparkle. The only thing that can get her to move is “amusement.”
Is Sparkle Worth Pulling?
Sparkle serves as a valuable support for DPS units with high Skill Point consumption, capable of advancing a character’s turn and boosting party damage whenever an ally consumes a Skill Point. If you seek to strengthen your Mono-Quantum team or require a unit offering ample Skill Points and turn advancement, Sparkle is a worthy addition worth considering.
Sparkle’s Best Builds
The Best Sparkle Build
- Light Cone: Earthly Escapade (Sparkle’s Signature Light Cone)
- Relic Set: 4-Piece Messenger Traversing Hackerspace
- Ornament Set: 2-Piece Broken Keel (Simulated Universe: World 7)
Best Relic and Ornament Stats
Main Stats | Sub Stats | ||
---|---|---|---|
Body: CRIT DMG Feet: SPD Sphere: HP% or DEF% Rope: Energy Regen. | CRIT DMG ★★★ SPD ★★★ Effect RES ★★ HP% ★★ |
Sparkle’s buff for allies scales with her CRIT DMG, so stack as much of it as possible. SPD is also really valuable so she can act more than once in one cycle. The recommended SPD stat for Sparkle is 160 as it will ensure two turns per rotation cycle for almost any DPS. She can work with 134 SPD too, she just won’t be as fast.
Finally, you need at least 30% Effect RES to activate the two-piece effect of the Broken Keel Ornament. So, make sure you have at least 20% Effect RES to her sub-stats, as her Traces provide a 10% effect resistance boost.
For players employing Slow DPS characters like Imbibitor Lunae or Qingque, a Fast Sparkle build is recommended, ensuring that the DPS can act immediately after Sparkle activates her Skill. This setup is particularly effective when the DPS relies on ATK rather than SPD. Conversely, a Slow Sparkle build allows the DPS to attack both before and after Sparkle’s turn, ideal for DPS characters benefiting from high SPD. It is optimal for Sparkle to have 1 SPD less than the DPS in this configuration.

Sparkle’s Best Relics
- 4-Piece Messenger Traversing Hackerspace
- Messenger Traversing Hackerspace is the best relic set for Sparkle, as it gives Sparkle SPD and also provides a good SPD buff for your party after using her Ultimate.
- 4-Piece Hunter of Glacial Forest
- Best alternative relic set for Sparkle as she can increase her own CRIT DMG through the use of her Ultimate.
Sparkle’s Best Planar Ornaments
- 2-Piece Broken Keel
- Broken Keel is the best Planar Ornament for Sparkle as it provides CRIT DMG to herself and other party members. Sparkle needs at least 30% Effect Hit Rate to activate the ornament’s effect.
- 2-Piece Penacony, Land of the Dreams
- Penacony, Land of the Dreams is a great alternative if you want Sparkle to use her Ultimate sooner and provide a DMG boost to other Quantum units.
Sparkle’s Trace Priority
- Talent: Sparkle’s Talent increases the DMG Boost from consuming Skill Points. So leveling that up first is recommended since it’s her most effective buff.
- Ultimate: Upgrading Sparkle’s Ultimate simply increases the additional damage boost from her Talent.
- Skill: Upgrading Sparkle’s Skill increases the CRIT DMG buff she provides to a unit.
- Basic Attack: We don’t recommend leveling this up since Sparkle doesn’t need to deal damage.
Sparkle’s Recommended Eidolons
We don’t recommend getting eidolons for 5★ characters as you can clear the majority of the game’s content with them at E0. But if you still want to maximize your Sparkle’s potential (or you just have a crippling gambling addiction), we recommend stopping at E2 as it provides the most value for your money. Sparkle’s E1 makes her ultimate last an extra turn and all allies get a decent ATK Boost meanwhile her E2 makes it so allies can ignore a portion of the enemy’s DEF when they consume skill points.

Sparkle’s Kit/Traces (at Max Level)
Sparkle is ideal for Hyper carry teams, particularly Skill point-negative DPS units. Her kit is pretty straightforward, and if used correctly, it can significantly increase the team’s damage output. She is also a strong contender for an S-tier character in Honkai Star Rail. To better understand her play style, let’s take a look at her kit.
- Monodrama (Basic Attack): Deals flat single target Quantum damage equal to 130% of Sparkle’s Attack.
- Dreamdiver (Skill): It increases the Crit Damage of an ally by 30% of her Crit Damage + 54% for 1 turn. Furthermore, it also action forwards the ally by 50%. The action-forward ability doesn’t work when Sparkle uses the Skill on herself.
- The Hero with a Thousand Faces (Ultimate): Marks allies with Cipher and recovers 4 Skill points. Allies with Cipher get an increase to her Talent damage buff by 12% per stack, lasting for 2 turns.
- Red Herring (Talent): The max number of Skill points is increased by 2 when Sparkle is on the battlefield. Furthermore, it increases the Damage dealt by all allies by 7.5% per stack (max 3 stacks) for 2 turns when an ally consumes 1 Skill point.
- Unreliable Narrator (Technique): It gives the Stealth status to all allies for 20 seconds. Stealth prevents enemies from detecting you and entering the battle with it will recover 3 Skill points for all allies.
