The Quintessential Quintuplets series is getting a new anime project covering the events set after Futaro’s wedding and honeymoon. The announcement was made during the anime’s fifth-anniversary event, held at the Yokohama Arena and attended by the main cast.
The story will be based on a draft written by Negi Haruba, the creator of The Quintessential Quintuplets, and will be completely under his supervision.

- Ayana Taketatsu as Nino Nakano
- Miku Ito as Miku Nakano
- Ayane Sakura as Yotsuba Nakano
- Inori Minase as Itsuki Nakano
In addition to the new anime project, The Quintessential Quintuplets will receive a new light novel and series that will depict the lives of the girls who were not featured in the original manga. Negi Haruba, the author of the manga, will supervise Hajime Asano as he writes the novel. Watch the commemorative video for the fifth anniversary:
The Quintessential Quintuplets anime has aired two seasons (2019 and 2021), a movie (2022), and a two-part special (2023). The shows are based on Haruba’s Kodansha-published manga, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2017 and concluded in 2020 with 14 tankoubon volumes.
Crunchyroll is streaming the series and it describes the plot as follows:
Uesugi Fuutarou, a second-year high school student from a low-income family, is offered a lucrative part-time tutoring position. However, his students are actually girls from his own class! Additionally, they are quintuplets… and all five are beautiful, but they happen to be problem students with borderline failing grades who despise studying! Looks like his first task will be to gain the trust of all the sisters?! In this romantic comedy about the Nakano family’s quintuplet sisters, every day is a wild party!
