People’s true intentions become clearer as the game progresses. That is life at Quindecim, where nothing is as it appears.

Night Raid, an assassin group, recruits him to fight the Empire and end the corruption. Tatsumi joins Night Raid alongside self-proclaimed “genius sniper” Mine, kind-hearted Sheele who can turn into a cold-blooded killer when it comes to getting rid of “society’s trash,” and leader Najenda, who spent years serving in the Empire before joining Night Raid.
If you love pain and suffering then this anime is just for you.
4. Future Diary / Mirai Nikki
Teenager Yukiteru Amano and 11 random strangers are forced to play a game of death by the god of time and space, Deus Ex Machina. His only defense is a Random Diary that shows him glimpses of the future. To his surprise, a beautiful girl named Yuno Gasai comes to his aid. As the two work together to defeat an unusual pursuer and return to their respective homes, Deus Ex Machina explains that they, along with ten other contestants, have been drawn into a survival game, the winner of which will become the deity’s successor. With no other choice, Yukiteru and Yuno must rely on their cellphones, now dubbed “Future Diaries,” to survive this merciless battle royale.
But, little does Yuki know, the beautiful and perfect Yuno Gasai is a psychotic yandere who’s madly in love with him and seems to be hiding a really big secret…
3. Steins;Gate
Rintarou Okabe is an eccentric self-proclaimed scientist who spends his days in his laboratory conducting pointless scientific experiments. However, one day he discovers that one of his experiments can send mail to the past.
Of course, altering the past permanently alters the future. This is something Rintarou and his motley crew of friends did not expect. They soon find themselves in bigger and bigger problems, making them realize the high cost of time travel.
2. Death Note
Light Yagami’s epic battle of wits with the mysterious L is unquestionably the most iconic psychological anime of all time. The moral quandaries presented by the idea of a Death Note — a notebook that can kill anyone whose name is written in it — being used to kill criminals and bad people without a trial gives you plenty to think about outside of the show.

1. Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World
I know I’m being biased here but, I just can’t help it! Re:Zero is one of my favorite anime of all time so I’m putting it in the #1 spot.
When Subaru Natsuki walks out of the convenience store, the last thing he expects is to be ripped from his everyday life and thrust into a fantasy world. Things aren’t looking good for the befuddled teen, who is attacked by some thugs not long after his arrival. He is quickly beaten to a pulp, armed only with a bag of groceries and a now-ineffective cell phone. Fortunately, a mysterious beauty named Satella, who is on the hunt for the person who stole her insignia, comes across Subaru and saves him. Subaru offers to assist in her search to thank the honest and kindhearted girl, and later that night, he discovers the location of what she seeks. But, unbeknownst to them, a much darker force stalks the pair from the shadows, and Subaru and Satella are brutally murdered just minutes after discovering the insignia.
However, when Subaru awakens to a familiar scene—confronted by the same gang of thugs, meeting Satella all over again—the mystery deepens as history inexplicably repeats itself.

BONUS: Talentless Nana
Fifty years ago, horrific creatures dubbed “enemies of humanity” appeared all over the world. To combat these threats, teenagers with supernatural abilities known as “Talents,” such as pyrokinesis and time travel, train at an academy on a remote island.
Nanao Nakajima, on the other hand, is unlike the others on the island in that he lacks Talent.
