The Am I Actually the Strongest? (Jitsu wa Ore, Saikyō deshita?) anime adaptation has received a second trailer, a new key visual, and a Japanese premiere date of July 1 (effectively July 2 at 2 AM JST). The trailer includes a sneak peek at Lezel’s recently announced opening theme “Reset Life?”
Am I Actually the Strongest? is based on the light novel series written by Sai Sumimori and illustrated by Ai Takahashi. The light novels began in May 2019 and have five volumes published under the Kodansha K Light Novel Books label by October 2021.

- Ayaka Shimizu as Flay, a Fenrir who became Hart’s servant after a certain incident
Other cast members include:

Takashi Naoya (Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru, Tales of Wedding Rings) is directing the anime at Staple Entertainment, with Matsuo Asami (Real Girl, Val x Love) as an assistant director. Tatsuya Takahashi (Val x Love, The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls) is supervising the series scripts, which are written by Takahashi and Tetsuya Yamada (Val x Love). The characters are designed by Shko Yasuda (Happy Sugar Life, My Happy Marriage).
Kodansha USA describes the plot as:
A socially reclusive twenty-year-old is reincarnated in an alternate world where magic rules all, determined to create the ideal new life as a shut-in. Unfortunately for him, his magical potential is deemed so insignificant that his royal parents abandon him shortly after his birth. Left to fend for himself in a wild world full of magical perils, the newborn prince thrives against all odds…because, unbeknownst to him, his true magical power is ridiculously off the charts!
Join Haruto, the socially awkward guy who just wants to relax, as he navigates demon friendships, royal feuds, assassination plots, secret superhero identities, and having a younger sister.
A manga adaptation of Am I Actually the Strongest? by Sumimori and Takahashi, began serialization in April 2019 on Nico Nico Seiga’s Tuesday Sirius. Sumimori originally wrote the story as a web novel, which debuted in 2018 on Shousetsuka ni Narou.
