Watching anime with your friends and family is one of the most enjoyable things in life, but that’s not always the case, especially if the anime is on this list. These anime go above and beyond with their antics, and you should never admit to watching them unless you want to become a social outcast and enjoy being treated as a loser.
Before we begin, a word of caution: you watch anime, so you should probably know that there are some anime that should never be watched with family.
If you are a fellow cultured weeb and sometimes watch some questionable stuff, you might want double check if your door is locked before watching any anime on this list.
So without further ado, here are 10 Anime That Your Parents Would Be Ashamed Of:
1. High School DxD
This anime is the definition of down bad. I don’t think there’s anyone who’s been watching anime for an year or two nad hasn’t watched or at least heard about High School DxD.
Issei Hyoudou, a high school student, is your typical pervert who spends his days peeping on women and fantasizing about having his own harem one day. When a beautiful girl asks Issei out on a date, things appear to be looking up for him, but she turns out to be a fallen angel who brutally kills him! However, he is given a second chance at life when beautiful senior student Rias Gremory, a top-class devil, resurrects him as her servant, recruiting Issei into the school’s Occult Research club.
Issei must train and fight to survive in the violent world of angels and devils as he slowly adjusts to his new life. Each new adventure leads to many hilarious (and risqué) moments with his new comrades, all while keeping his new life a secret from his High School DxD friends and family!
2. Freezing Vibrations
The Chevalier had concluded that the NOVA have been appearing at a steadier rate and are losing more Pandoras than they can produce since the 10th NOVA clash. Their solution is the E-Pandora Project, in which ordinary people are given the ability to transform into Pandoras. Invited to their Alaskan base to witness the unveiling of their new project, Satellizer, Kazuya, and Rana are among those who have been summoned. However, as time passes, the E-Pandora Project becomes increasingly suspect, and the Pandoras become increasingly concerned…
3. High School of the Dead
High School of the Dead actually has a really good storyline unlike a majority of anime in the ecchi genre but if your parents walked in on you while you’re watching this, you’re gonna get that good old slipper or belt.
It happened suddenly: The dead began to rise and Japan was thrown into total chaos. Takashi Kimuro is forced to kill his best friend when he is bitten and joins the ranks of the walking dead as these monsters terrorize a high school. They narrowly escape their death trap of a school, vowing to protect Rei Miyamoto, the girlfriend of the man he just executed, only to be greeted by a society that has already fallen.
Takashi and Rei soon join forces with other students on a journey to find their family members and discover what caused this massive pandemic. Saeko Busujima, the beautiful president of the Kendo Club, Kouta Hirano, an otaku with a gun fetish, Saya Takagi, the daughter of an influential politician, and Shizuka Marikawa, their hot school nurse, join them. Will the combined strength of these individuals be sufficient to defeat the undead apocalypse?
4. My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog
My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog is a new anime that is airing right now and I have to say it, I want to know what was going on in the author’s mind when he was writing the source material. I don’t think I have ever seen or even thought about anything like this. But one thing that I can say for sure is, Makima fanboys are living the dream right now.
I have nothing much to say about this one because I think the title pretty much explains the whole plot. The story follows the protagonist who wakes up one day transformed as Pochita (yeah that’s actually what he’s called), a pet dog of his cool and beautiful classmate Karen Inukai. Here’s the synopsis:
Every dog has his day, they say. That is especially true for our protagonist, who has recently been transformed into a dog and is now under the care of his crush, Inukai-san! She adores her new companion, and while he longs to return to human form, there’s something special about being cared for by someone he adores.
5. Yosuga No Sora
Now hear me out, if you’re from Alabama or something then this might not be that but if not, then you’re probably gonna be kicked out of the house.
Haruka and Sora Kasugano have lost both of their parents in a tragic accident. Starting over, they return to their childhood home, living in the rural, quaint town they left four years ago.
Returning to such a nostalgic location, however, entails recalling all of the memories the two of them shared, whether they brought them blissful joy or painful sorrow. Meeting both old and new friends, the story of Haruka and Sora becomes increasingly complicated as their lives are gradually influenced by various acts of love, friendship, envy—and perhaps even lust
6. Redo of Healer
I have no idea what to say about this. But, if you haven’t watched Redo of Healer, you’re on the right track in life. You’ve been warned, DON’T WATCH REDO OF HEALER if you want to retain your sanity.
When Keyaru gained his abilities as a Hero who specialized in healing all injuries regardless of severity, it appeared that he would have a bright future. Instead, he faced excruciating agony as he was subjected to years of seemingly endless hellish torture and abuse. Keyaru’s healing abilities allowed him to secretly collect the memories and abilities of those he treated, gradually strengthening him to the point where he was stronger than anyone else. But it was far too late by the time he realized his full potential—he had already lost everything.
Keyaru, determined to get his life back on track, cast a powerful healing spell that rewound the entire world back to before he began to suffer his terrible fate. With the anguish of his past at his disposal, he vows to redo everything in order to fulfill a new purpose—to exact revenge on those who have wronged him.
7. Food Wars
Food Wars is one of my favorite anime of all time. Will I watch it with my parents tho? Hell no!
Souma Yukihira has been cooking with his father Jouichirou since he can remember. As a sous chef at his father’s restaurant, he has spent years honing his culinary skills and creating new dishes to wow their customers. He hopes to one day surpass his father’s skill and take over the restaurant, but he is surprised to learn that Jouichirou is closing the shop to take a job in New York.
Rather than following in his father’s footsteps, Souma enrolls at the prestigious Tootsuki Culinary Academy, where only 10% of students graduate. The school is well-known for its “Shokugeki,” which are intense cooking competitions between students that are frequently used to settle debates and arguments. Jouichirou tells Souma that he must outperform him in order to survive the next three years at Tootsuki and graduate.
The brutal curriculum and fiercely competitive student body of the academy await the young chef, who must learn to navigate the perilous environment if he hopes to realize his dreams. But is talent alone enough to propel him to the top?
8. Interspecies Reviewers
Interspecies takes degeneracy to a whole other level. We have these 4 individuals from a fantasy world who get this amazing idea of becoming brothel reviewers…
The world is home to a plethora of different races, ranging from perky fairies to oozing slimes. Naturally, such a diverse collection of creatures has a wide and enticing range of brothels. With so many options, it’s difficult to choose which succu-girl to have a meaningful, interpersonal experience with.
Fortunately, a small band of brave warriors has banded together to educate the public. Through hands-on research, these perverted adventurers assess the appeal of various types of succu-girls. The Yoruno Gloss reviewers leave no species behind, whether it’s the scorchingly hot salamanders or the udderly hu-moo-ngous cow-girls.
Interspecies Reviewers, directed by the man behind Miru Tights, seeks to answer one of the most pressing questions: which species is the sexiest?
9. Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World
Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World goes from 0 to 100 really freaking fast. One moment he’s just a high school student playing an online video game and the next he’s slashing bandits in another world, and next he’s collecting waifus for his harem.
Michio Kaga, a high school student, attempts to launch a strange online game he discovered while browsing the internet one day. Instead, he is transported to a rural village in the game’s world, where he is given special abilities and a powerful sword. After gathering his thoughts, he finds himself fighting bandits and quickly realizes that he cannot log out. Michio, resigning himself to fate and accepting this reality, embarks on a journey to enjoy his new life, conquer dungeons for money, and build a harem to satisfy all his manly desires.
10. Immoral Guild
Kikuru Madan, is a monster hunter with excellent performance, because of his particular job in the forest, but he decided to quit it because of his fear of wasting his own youth… but to quit his current job, he must train some new recruits with questionable abilities so as to not leave the town unprotected. But, to his surprise instead of helping Kikuru with the monster hunting, they keep getting attacked by monsters, although, in a different way…
