Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest Season 3 is getting produced, with Season 2 director Akira Iwanaga, series composer and scriptwriter Shouichi Satou, and character designer and chief animation director Chika Kojima reprising their roles.
Instead of sharing credits with White Fox (Season 1) or Studio Mother, Asread is credited as the sole animation production studio this time (Season 2). An announcement trailer and visual featuring Hajime and Yue have been released.
Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest is based on the light novels written by Ryou Shirakome with illustrations from Takaya-ki. The first season of the anime, which was directed by the late Kinji Yoshimoto, aired in 2019. The second season aired earlier this year.
Seven Seas Entertainment describes the light novels as:
When a classroom of students is transported to another world to act as its saviors, Hajime Nagumo finds himself the weakest link. As his friends and classmates are granted strong classes and impressive abilities due to their existing skills, he is given the weak title of Synergist. When a dungeon quest leaves him separated from his group, Hajime must discover his own talents or be left to rot in this world forever.
The Overlap Bunko label publishes the Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest light novel series, which has spawned a prequel, a short story anthology, a manga adaptation by RoGa, and spin-offs. The story began in 2013 with a web novel published on Shousetsuka ni Narou, and the light novels began in 2015. As of January 2022, 12 volumes had been published.
