Goblin Slayer Season 2 has revealed a new visual ahead of its upcoming premiere later this year. The sequel, which received a trailer last year, is being animated by LIDENFILMS.
White Fox produced the previous season, which aired in 2018, as well as the 2020 OVA Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown.
Unlike the first season, Goblin Slayer II is directed by Misato Takada (Saiyuki Reload Zeroin), with character designer Hiromi Katou (ID-0) and animation production studio LIDENFILMS. Takaharu Ozaki, who directed the first season, returns as chief director, while series composer/scriptwriter Hideyuki Kurata and music composer Kenichirou Suehiro reprise their roles.
Yuuichirou Umehara as Goblin Slayer, Yui Ogura as Priestess, Yuka Iguchi as Cow Girl, Maaya Uchida as Guild Girl, Nao Touyama as High Elf Archer, Yuuichi Nakamura as Dwarf Shaman, and Tomokazu Sugita as Lizard Priest are among the cast members.
Yen Press describes the light novel series as:
A young priestess has formed her first adventuring party, but they soon find themselves in trouble. The Goblin Slayer, a man who has dedicated his life to the annihilation of all goblins by any means necessary, comes to their aid. And who knows who might come calling next if rumors of his exploits start to circulate…
