The Hell’s Paradise (Jigokuraku) anime adaptation, which recently released its final episode, has been renewed for a second season. A fifth “special visual,” starring Yuzuriha and Senta, was also released.
Hell’s Paradise premiered in Japan on April 1, with Crunchyroll streaming the show outside of the country. It had a brief broadcast delay when Episode 9 was moved from May 27 to June 3. The anime is based on Yuuji Kaku’s Shueisha-published manga, which ran from 2018 to 2021 in 13 tankoubon volumes.
The anime is directed by Kaori Makita (Saezuru Tori Wa Habatakanai: The Clouds Gather), with series composer Akira Kindaichi (I’m Quitting Heroing scriptwriter), character designer Kouji Hisaki (Saezuru Tori Wa Habatakanai: The Clouds Gather co-main animator), and music composer Yoshiaki Dewa (Call of the Night). The animation production company is called MAPPA.
Meanwhile, the cast includes, Chiaki Kobayashi as Gabimaru, Yumiri Hanamori as Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, Rie Takahashi as Yuzuriha, Daiki Yamashita as Yamada Asaemon Senta, Chikahiro Kobayashi as Yamada Asaemon Shion, Makoto Koichi as Nurugai, Yuusuke Kobayashi as Yamada Asaemon Tenza, Ryouhei Kimura as Aza Chobe, Kensho Ono as Yamada Asaemon Toma, Tetsu Inada as Tamiya Gantetsusai, and Aoi Ichikawa as Yamada Asaemon Fuchi.

Gabimaru the Hollow is one of the most vicious assassins ever to come out of the ninja village of Iwagakure. He’s ruthlessly efficient, but a betrayal results in him being handed a death sentence. The manga series, which ran on Shonen Jump+, inspired a spin-off manga and a novel.
