The Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! TV Anime production team has revealed a new character visual and PV trailer highlighting the main heroine, Minami Fuyuki. The anime is set to premiere in January 2024, after being delayed from its original October 2022 release date.
The cast includes Ayane Sakura as Minami Fuyuki, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Tsubasa Shiki, Yumiri Hanamori as Sayuri Akino, and Reina Ueda as Rena Natsukawa.
Meanwhile, the staff includes Mirai Minato (The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious, When Will Ayumu Make His Move? director) as chief director and series screenwriter. Misuzu Hoshino (The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious) is directing the series, with Katsuyuki Satou (My Stepmom`s Daughter Is My Ex) providing the character designs. SILVER LINK and BLADE are in charge of the animation production for the series.
Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! manga is being released digitally in English on Manga Plus, which describes the story as:
High school boy Tsubasa moves to Kitami City up in Hokkaido, where he meets a “gal” at a bus stop. The sight of her standing alone against the white snowscape, bare-legged despite the freezing cold, captures his heart.
The anime is based on Kai Ikada’s romantic comedy manga. It was serialized for the first time in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform on September 4, 2019, under the Jump Comics label. As of July 2023, eleven tankoubon volumes had been published.
