In Another World With My Smartphone Season 2 has revealed its second trailer and an April 4 Japanese premiere date.
The trailer includes a preview of Gemstone7’s opening song “Real Diamond” (Rin Kojima, Hio Sano, Yukina Tsutsumi, Non Harusaki, Yuuki Hirose, Yui Fukuo, and Megumi Sakata).
In Another World With My Smartphone Synopsis:
God, in a thoughtless blunder, accidentally kills Touya Mochizuki with a stray bolt of lightning! As an apology, God grants him one wish and the opportunity to relive his life in a magical fantasy world. Touya gladly accepts the offer and asks for only one wish: to keep his smartphone with him as he embarks on his journey into this mysterious world.
Starting over in this new world, Touya discovers it is full of magic, which he enjoys, and cute girls vying for his attention. These girls—the twins Linze and Elze Silhoueska, Yumina Urnea Belfast, Leen, and Yae Kokonoe—provide Touya with endless romantic frustrations as he discovers the secrets of this new world.
Unlike the first season, In Another World With My Smartphone Season 2 is directed by Yoshiaki Iwasaki (Monster Girl Doctor), with Deko Akao (When Will Ayumu Make His Move?) as series composer and scriptwriter, Chinatsu Kameyama (Kemono Michi: Rise Up co-sub character designer) as character designer and chief animation director, Eiji Iwase (Tamayomi) as art director, Eiko Nishi (The Detective Is Already Dead)
Meanwhile, Katsumi Fukuhara as Touya Mochizuki, Marika Kouno as Yumina Ernea Belfast, Maaya Uchida as Elze Silhoueska, Yui Fukuo as Linze Silhoueska, Chinatsu Akasaki as Yae Kokonoe, Nanami Yamashita as Sushie Ernea Ortlinde, and Sumire Uesaka as Leen are returning. Miyu Takagi as Lucia Rea Regulus, Yuu Serizawa as Hildegard Minas Lestia, and Miyu Kubota as Sakura are new additions to the Season 2 cast.
The HJ Novels-published In Another World With My Smartphone book series began in 2015 and has 27 volumes as of October 2022. Soto’s manga adaptation of Kadokawa, which is licensed in English by Yen Press, began in 2016. In 2013, the story began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou.
