A second trailer for Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Punch! featuring the newly announced opening theme song “Kimi to no Mirai” by Azumi Waki has been released. The anime is set to premiere in Japan in April.
The first season, which aired for 12 episodes, premiered in October 2020. Funimation broadcasted the anime as it aired in Japan, as well as an English dub.
Kadokawa also streamed the anime’s first 30-second commercial:
Seven Seas Entertainment describes the series as:
Yuna, a fifteen-year-old girl, would rather stay at home and play her favorite VRMMO game than do anything else, including going to school. Yuna is torn when a strange new update grants her a one-of-a-kind bear outfit with overpowered abilities: the outfit is unbearably cute but too embarrassing to wear in-game. But then she finds herself transported into the game’s world, facing monsters and magic for real, and the bear suit becomes her best weapon!
Yuu Nobuta returns as director, Hisashi Ishii as series director, Takashi Aoshima as series composer, Yuuki Nakano as character designer and chief animation director, Mimika Iwa as the color designer, and Shigeo Komori as music composer from the first season. EMT Squared is the animation production company once more. Art director Hariu Katsufumi (Slow Start) and photography director Youichirou Satou are among the new hires (White Album 2).
Meanwhile, Maki Kawase as Yuna, Waki as Fina, Rina Hidaka as Noire Foschurose, Inori Minase as Shia Foschurose, and others return.
