Lycoris Recoil Reveals New Key Visual & Promo Video

A new key visual and PV trailer has been revealed for the popular original slice-of-life action anime series – Lycoris Recoil. The anime first aired on July 2, 2022, and has been among the most popular anime this season.

The new key visual features the anime’s supporting cast surrounding the primary characters Chisato (left) and Takina (right). Meanwhile, the PV trailer summarises the events of the show’s first eight episodes, including singer Sayuri’s concluding theme “Hana no Tou” near the end.

Chika Anzai as Chisato, Shion Wakayama as Takina, Ami Koshimizu as Mizuki Nakahara, Misaki Kuno as Kurumi, and Kousuke Sakaki as Mika are among the key voice actors in Lycoris Recoil.

Shingo Adachi (Sword Art Online and WORKING!! character designer) is the director and series scriptwriter, Asaura (Kitto Arifureta Koi author) is the original narrative writer, Imigimuru (This Art Club Has a Problem! mangaka) is the character designer, and Spider Lily is the series originator. The cartoon is being produced by A-1 Pictures.

Other members of the team include Kenji Sawada (Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie co-main animator), Hotaka Okomoto (Platinum End), and Maiko Ikeda (Beyblade Burst QuadDrive) as art directors, Azusa Sasaki (Zombieland Saga Revenge) as the color designer, Toshiaski Aoshima (The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited) as photography director, and Shuuhei Assisting Adachi as the assistant director is Yuusuke Maruyama (Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon: The Second Act opening director and storyboarder), and Yumiko Yamamoto (Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld co-character designer).

Lycoris Recoil has grown in popularity in recent months, with a spin-off light novel being republished before its original release date and Aniplex+ releasing a transparent case shaped like Takina Inoue’s boxers.

For these peaceful days――there’s a secret behind it all.
A secret organization that prevents crimes: “DA – Direct Attack”. And their group of all-girl agents: “Lycoris”. This peaceful everyday life is all thanks to these young girls. The elite Chisato Nishikigi is the strongest Lycoris agent of all time. Alongside is Takina Inoue, the talented but mysterious Lycoris. They work together at one of its branches–Café LycoReco.
Here, the orders this café takes range from coffee and sweets to childcare, shopping, teaching Japanese to foreign students, etc. It’s mostly tasks unbefitting of Lycoris.
The free-spirited and optimistic pacifist, Chisato. And the cool-headed and efficient Takina. The chaotic everyday lives of this mismatched duo begin!
