The main visual for the upcoming My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer TV anime adaptation has been released. An October premiere date, additional cast members, and theme song details were also revealed.
The newly announced cast members include
- Marina Inoue as Helvetica Bordeaux
- Saku Mizuno as Sasha Bordeaux
- Kana Ichinose as Seren Bordeaux.
Yoshino Nanjou is singing the opening theme song “Sen” while Nagi Yanagi is performing the ending theme song “homeward journey.”
Meanwhile, the staff includes Naoki Murata (Dead Mount Death Play Episode 10 director) as director with Takeshi Mori (Stratos 4 Advance and The Skullman director) as chief director, Yuuichirou Momose (Rokudo’s Bad Girls) as series composer, and Jun Shibata (The Skullman, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway co-character animation director) as character designer and chief animation director. Saori Hayami is voicing Angeline while Junichi Suwabe is playing Belgrieve. Other cast members include Maki Kawase as Anessa and Rumi Ookubo as Miriam.
My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer is based on the light novel series My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer written by Mojikakiya, illustrated by toi8, and published under Earth Star Entertainment’s Earth Star Novel label. The 11-volume series began in February 2018 and will conclude in November 2021.
J Novel Club publishes the light novels in English. Bookwalker Global describes the plot as:
The life of an adventurer isn’t always a glamorous one. Belgrieve finds this out the hard way when a deadly encounter robs him of his leg and the ability to pursue his dreams not long after setting off for fame and fortune. But fate isn’t finished with this retired adventurer! While gathering herbs in the wilderness, he discovers an abandoned baby girl and names her Angeline after deciding to raise her as his own. My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer was originally a web novel that debuted in September 2017 on Shousetsuka ni Narou. In May 2018, a manga adaptation of Kuu Urushibara’s light novels began.
