- Yurie Igoma as Ruby Hoshino
- Megumi Han as Arima Kana
- Manaka Iwami as Akane Kurokawa

Meanwhile, the production team for Oshi no Ko Season 2 saw several staff members returning from the first season, continuing their roles. Daisuke Hiramaki returned as director, and Jin Tanaka once again handled the series composition. Kanna Hirayama reprised her role as character designer and chief animation director, supported by sub-character designers Shun Sawai (Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie co-main animator), Satomi Watanabe (who also worked on costume design in Season 1), and Honoka Yokoyama (Season 1 co-main animator).
The animation team included returning chief animation directors Satomi Watanabe, Honoka Yokoyama, and Haruka Inade, joined by Yuta Kevin Kenmotsu (Protocol: Rain sub-character designer). Additional key roles were filled by Amoji as action animator, Asami Hayakawa, Kimiaki Mizuno, and Ayaka Muroga as main animators, and Kei Ishiguro as the color designer. Studio Easter’s Tetsuya Usami returned as art director, with Takafumi Kuwano (Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie) serving as compositing director and Takuro Iga composing the music. Animation production was again handled by Doga Kobo.
Oshi no Ko is adapted from the manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish). The manga began serialization in 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump and has released 15 volumes as of July 2024. The anime’s first season aired in Spring 2023, spanning 11 episodes. A live-action adaptation of the series is also set to premiere this November.
Yen Press describes the story as follows: Gorou, a gynecologist and devoted idol fan, is stunned when his favorite idol, Ai, suddenly announces a hiatus. Unbeknownst to him, his connection with her is about to take a turn that defies logic. In this manga from Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, the world of idols is explored through secrets and lies, with deception becoming an idol’s greatest tool.
