The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Pokedex continues to grow as the release date approaches. We’ve seen a slew of updates about the new adventures set in the Paldea region in recent months, including first looks at the critters we’ll be meeting. Lots of familiar favorites from the best Pokemon games over the years will also be returning. There will be plenty of Pokemon to catch and encounter in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
As the release date approaches, read on for a list of all of the Pokemon that have been officially revealed thus far, from starters to legendaries and the rest of the gen 9 Pokemon we know about.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Starters
The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Starters were immediately confirmed in the game’s first trailer. This is the trio:
- Sprigatito (Grass Cat Pokemon)
- Fuecoco (Fire Croc Pokemon)
- Quaxly (Water Duckling Pokemon)
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Legendaries
The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Legendaries have been revealed, and we’re learning more about them.
Koraidon and Miraidon will appear in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, respectively, but it appears that they will be relatively early additions to your squad rather than an end-game addition to help you beat the big bad of Scarlet and Violet. According to the latest trailer, they’ll essentially function as All-Terrain Vehicles, allowing you to fly, drive, and swim across the new Paldea region. That could be what Game Freak meant when it showed off the pair, which it claimed had “powers far exceeding those of other Pokemon.”
