Sekiro has garnered an immense and fiercely loyal fanbase. These dedicated fans have demonstrated their unwavering support for the studio across various social media platforms and forums. If the anime adaptation is officially announced and the studio remains true to the source material, employing faithful 2D animation, the series is bound to achieve resounding success.
Sekiro Plot:
During the Sengoku Era, a turbulent period in Japanese history marked by military conflict and social upheaval, warlords fought relentlessly for power and land. This era, often referred to as the Middle Ages, created a medieval-like setting where ancient and mystical elements coexisted.
In the late 1500s, Japan was engulfed in ongoing warfare. Isshin Ashina, a skilled swordsman, seized control of the Ashina region through a violent coup. His victory over General Tamura hinted at the possibility of the war finally coming to an end.
Amidst the aftermath of the decisive battle, the master shinobi Owl encountered a young child. Impressed by the child’s resilience when faced with danger, Owl adopted him as his own son and named him “Wolf.” Over the course of twenty years, Owl trained Wolf in the ways of the shinobi, assigning him the duty of safeguarding his new master, Kuro, a child descended from an ancient and mystical bloodline. Before departing, Owl emphasized the shinobi iron code to Wolf: his father’s rule is absolute, his master’s rule is second only to that, and in the event of his master being kidnapped or threatened, Wolf must protect and retrieve him at any cost.
