The “Stupid Angel Dances With the Devil” (Oroka na Tenshi wa Akuma to Odoru) anime adaptation has revealed a teaser visual and trailer along with the main cast and staff information. The anime will premiere sometime in 2024.
Itsurou Kawasaki (director of The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting) is in charge of the anime’s direction and series composition, with Yuuko Yahiro (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) as character designer and Takurou Iga (OSHI NO KO) as music composer. GAINA is assisting Children’s Playground Entertainment with production.
Meanwhile, the main cast for Oroka na Tenshi wa Akuma to Odoru includes Yuuma Uchida as the devil Masatora Akutsu and Ayane Sakura as the angel Lily Amane.
The anime is based on Sawayoshi Azuma’s KADOKAWA-published manga, which began serialization in Dengeki Maou in 2016 and has 15 tankoubon volumes as of April 2023.
The story is about Masatora Akutsu, a demon who comes to Earth in search of a human who can be an idol for the demons in order to motivate them. He invites a girl called Lily, only to discover that she is an angel. Masatora is then captured by Lily and forced to assist her on her mission.
