The That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus no Yume OVA has released a new trailer, which features a look at some of the OVA’s characters as well as the opening song “Hikari Hanatsu” by Takuma Terashima. It was also revealed that all three OVA episodes will be released on November 1.
Atsushi Tamaru’s Sauzer Coleus, Masaya Matsukaze’s Aslan Coleus, Lynn’s Luminus, Nobuhiko Okamoto’s Paulo, and Miyu Tomita’s Violet are among the previewed characters.
The staff includes Atsushi Nakayama (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2) as director, Toshizou Nemoto (Backflip!!) as series composer, Ryouma Ebata (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) as character designer, and Takahiro Kishida (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) as monster designer. Eight Bit is the animation production company behind the project.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus no Yume is based on Fuse’s short story, which served as the basis and inspiration for the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond film. The OVA, which was announced in February as part of the series’ tenth-anniversary project, takes place between the events of the first and second seasons of the anime and follows Rimuru as he deals with a conspiracy in the Kingdom of Coleus.
Crunchyroll describes the anime series as:
Corporate worker Mikami Satoru is stabbed by a random killer, and is reborn to an alternate world. But he turns out to be reborn a slime! Thrown into this new world with the name Rimuru, he begins his quest to create a world that’s welcoming to all races.
Taiki Kawakami’s Kodansha-published manga adaptation of Fuse’s isekai fantasy light novels, serialized in Monthly Shonen Sirius and published under the Sirius KC label, is the basis for the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime series. As of September 8, 2023, there are 24 tankoubon volumes in the manga, which began in 2015. The anime’s third season is in the works.
