The Devil is a Part-Timer!! Season 2 has received a new promotional visual ahead of its July 13 Japanese premiere. The new visual is essentially an updated version of the key visual from last month, with Sadao Maou and Emi Yusa, joined by the rest of the main cast.
The Devil is a Part-Timer!! 2nd Season is a sequel to the 2022 Studio 3Hz-produced The Devil is a Part-Timer!! which was a follow-up to White Fox’s 2013 anime “The Devil is a Part-Timer!”. The anime is based on Satoshi Wagahara’s light novel series, which was illustrated by 029.
The voice cast for the anime includes Ryouta Oosaka as Sadao Maou, Youko Hikasa as Emi Yusa, Nao Touyama as Chiho Sasaki, Yuuki Ono as Shiro Ashiya, Hiro Shimono as Hanzo Urushihara, Kanae Itou as Suzuno Kamazuki, and Hina Kino as Alas Ramus. Joining them in The Devil is a Part-Timer!! 2nd Season is Madoka Asahina, who will be voicing the character Acieth Alla.
Meanwhile, the returning staff from The Devil is a Part-Timer!! includes Daisuke Tsukushi (Isekai Cheat Magician) as Director, Yudai Iino (22/7) as Character Designer, Masahiro Yokotani (original The Devil is a Part-Timer! and Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 2) as Series Composer. Lastly, the music composition will be handled by Ryousuke Nakanishi (original The Devil is a Part-Timer! and Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life!).
Crunchyroll describes The Devil is a Part-Timer! as:
Foiled by a hero when he’s inches away from conquering the world, the devil finds himself in modern-day Tokyo. With no real-world skills to speak of, the devil is forced to make ends meet flipping burgers at a fast food joint! To stall any further plans of world domination, the hero tracks the devil’s trail and takes on the lowly tasks of a telemarketer.
The light novels, which ran from 2011 to 2020 and included 21 main tankoubon volumes, inspired several manga series. The light novel series is published by Dengeki Bunko.
