The 2022 Isekai Anime “Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs” is getting a second season!
The first season of the series was animated by Studio ENGI, with Kazuya Miura and Shin’ichi Fukumoto as the directors. The first season had a total of 12 episodes and is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
The character designer for the anime, Masahiko Suzuki, has also released a special illustration to celebrate the announcement.
Based on the light novels written by Yomu Mishima with illustrations by Monda, the anime/manga follows a former salaryman who dies and finds himself reincarnated in the world of an otome game that he was forced to complete by his sister.
In this world, women rule supreme, and survival is especially difficult for ‘mobs’ or minor characters like him. Using his previous life’s knowledge of the game, Leon sets out to disrupt this world and its social hierarchy by locating the cheat item Luxion and enrolling in the Holtfort Academy.
He tries to live a normal life and find a wife, but his actions get him involved in various schemes, all while mingling with the nobility and other characters from the otome game.
