The Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha anime adaptation’s third trailer has been released, previewing the opening song “Paraglider” by Kaori Ishihara. A premiere date of July 3 was also announced.
Additionally, two additional cast members were revealed, Shiori Saeki as Mina Ichinose and Minami Kurisaki as Fuka Sasaki.
Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha is based on the HJ Bunko-published light novels written by Okemaru and illustrated by Mizore Saba. The series began in June 2020 and will conclude in April 2023 with eight volumes.
The anime is directed by Kazuomi Koga (Rent-A-Girlfriend), with series composer Michiko Yokote (Call of the Night) and character designer Miyabi Ozeki (World’s End Harem). AXsiZ and Studio Gokumi are co-producing the anime.
Meanwhile, the previously announced cast includes Naoya Miyase as Wataru Sajou, Akiho Suzumoto as Aika Natsukawa, Yumiri Hanamori as Kei Ashida, Mikako Komatsu as Kaede Sajou, and Kaori Ishihara as Rin Shinomiya.
The story follows Wataru Sajou, who is deeply in love with his beautiful classmate Aika Natsukawa, and approaches her without hesitation while dreaming about their shared feelings. However, one day he awoke with the realization, “I am not really fit to be together with someone as good as her, huh…” Wataru, much to Aika’s surprise, began keeping a proper distance from her after realizing this. “Could it be that he hates me now…?”
Did she miss his intentions because she was impatient after reaching the wrong conclusion?! This is the beginning of a romcom about two people who can’t seem to express their feelings and believe their love is unrequited!
Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha began in 2018 as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou. It has also inspired a manga adaptation by Popuri Yoshikita.
